World Mental Health Day
Today it is World Mental Health Day. This year there is a particular attention on suicide prevention. If you were not already aware, suicide is now the leading cause of death amongst young adults. Sadly, it is also on the rise.
The mind can be our biggest friend however it can also be out biggest enemy. If you, a family member, or a friend has any mental issues, the first step is to speak to someone and seek professional help. See it the same way as having a physical illness. External support systems are incredibly helpful when one is consumed by darkness.
You must first serve yourself before you can serve humanity. There are practical methods to move the mind towards a more positive place. Find what works for you. Take ownership and pursue these avenues with great intensity. You will find peace and happiness once again.
