Sutra 30: 9 major obstacles in the path of Yoga
Disease. Dullness. Doubt. Procrastination. Laziness. Craving. Mistaken understanding. Inability to achieve finer stages. Instability.
The aspirant should be well aware of these 9 obstacles. In experiencing any 1 of these 9 states, the practitioner should seek the appropriate remedy. For example Hatha Yoga is good for extinguishing laziness. Yin Yoga & Japa Meditation help stabilise the mind. Questioning and interrogating the technique removes doubt.
